@ETPH3030 – No doubt about there being great black artists all throughout history but when it comes to rock’n'roll…. ; Beatles? Doors? Led Zeppelin? Lamb of G-d? (LOG has added some of the most technical aspects to music EVER) Eric Clapton? Grateful Dead? Dave Matthews Band? Andy Mckee? Buddy Holly?… slow your roll on the Rock’n'Roll portion brother

wesabibean @ 3:45 pm #

@wesabibean and these guys rock by the way =)

mrrobotrain @ 5:56 pm #

What genre would you even classify TV on the Radio as? They’re so incredible that they’re not even under a single genre.

@wesabibean Chuck Berry, Jimi Hendrix, Little Richard, Stevie Wonder, Sly & the Family Stone, Funkadelic (Not to be confused with Parliament Funkadelic), Bob Marley, Ray Charles, Fats Domino, James Brown, B. B. King, Michael Jackson. These are all equally or more influential than ones you mentioned, save maybe the Beatles. Need I say more?

@Lemsley12 Bob Marley isn’t rock’n'roll, which is what he was talking about.

Lemsley12 @ 9:29 am #

@GalacticRainbowSauce Bob Marley is in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Moron.

GalacticRainbowSauce @ 11:37 am #

@Lemsley12 So are ABBA, Louis Armstrong and Run DMC, doesn’t make them rock ‘n’ roll performers. Asshole.

Lemsley12 @ 8:57 pm #

@GalacticRainbowSauce Yeah, but you said Bob Marley was not rock ‘n’ roll, and you are wrong. BUT since you’d like to bring others into it: ABBA is one of the most famous pop-rock groups ever, whether they are good or not is relative. Louis Armstrong speaks for himself, great performer, fundamental in the study of the rock ‘n’ roll era. And Run DMC, unique fusion of rock with a new style of beats and lyrical poetry. Rock & Roll describes the era of music more than a genre, its too general.

Ahhhh, as much as I love TV on the Radio, sometimes you gotta admit they fuck it up live. Way too small and under equipped a band to be doing this song, though maybe thats lettermans fault.

davebo357 @ 5:14 am #

@Kershmey I thought this was one of their best live (TV) performances. If you had made that same comment about their most recent SNL appearance promoting Dear Science, I’d be in 100% agreement.

one of the best performances on Letterman I have ever seen…have watched this video so many times since it was first posted

Rikkisteve @ 11:20 pm #

Yeah, in my opinion this is better than the album version. So much more energy, so much louder. This performance was very impressive.
