Comments on Leonard Cohen on Q TV (CBC exclusive)
Like you said…”we’re all entitled to make mistakes”
That dude is asking an genius the most annoying questions ever, sad!!!
What’s the song playing in the first 10 seconds? Nice riff!
@drowinoz I disagree. The questions being asked are the ones that he feels Cohen has an interest in talking about.
America; Dylan———— canada; Cohen All you need to know!
the Q theme song
@dienkizenjimm very well put
@robzillon because the jews have no right to govern themselves right
No i’m not saying that…….i think that people who have shown support surely have a duty to withdraw that support from a state that commits genocide though.
@saintlysinner666 I agree… the only way to talk to a genius is letting him speak of what interests him.
@dienkizenjimm
Dylan: The World
Cohen: The World
One of the greatest. Great interview.
Leonard Cohen is one of the greatest artists in the world! Canada should be proud of him! He is an artist and one of the greatest names in music!
The guy was asking him a lot of questions about death, you could tell he wanted to get an answer to something.
This is a great interview, I enjoyed every sec of it. Leonard is very wise man and has so much to say. He carefully chooses every single word he says and is so calm. Seems like he faded into his own parade
A wise old owl, humble, sensitive, modest. Leonard Cohen for P>M please.. After this amazing interview I love him more than ever.
This was far better than the movie they made on him.
@dienkizenjimm I’d much, much rather have Cohen.
@8siufei8 Judaism lies at the soul of his art. Look at the Star of David as two hearts on the cover of Book of Mercy. Look at the book itself. Look at all the allusions to the Torah and to Jewish history. He sees himself as an individual loved by God despite a painful life, and he connects this individual dynamic to the history of the Chosen People. His spirituality is certainly accessible to a much wider audience than that, but Judaism runs to the core of his art.
Cohen is next-level.
Ghomeshi is next-level douche bag.
Have to agree with all the comments on the ‘net about Ghomeshi being a half-wit douche. Take, for example the very first question posed to Cohen: “is this house something of a haven, a retreat for you”? Well, NO SHIT, SHERLOCK. No, Ghomeshi, he uses it to light his farts on fire and entertain simple retards like you.
He is such a sweet natured man, love him and his music.
Great insight to who the man is.
@aperson22222 By no means am I saying that he is unaware of his Jewish heritage. Obviously it informs so much of his best work. Whether it is at the core as you say is debatable. His work has many non-Jewish influences e.g. the work and views of Federico Garcia Lorca, C P Cavafy, Dylan Thomas, Roshi and his Zen teachers at Mount Baldy, William Blake, and Lou Reed to mention only a few. The main purpose of my comment was to decry the antisemetic tone of dallasdiva80′s comment, “so what if a jew”.

Great interview and insight into a special Human Being!
